Welcome to Bishop's Cleeve Primary Academy
Bishops Cleeve Primary Academy is a fantastic place to learn and grow. We are a large 3-form entry Primary School nestled in the heart of the expanding village of Bishops Cleeve. Our school prides itself on having a family feel where we place children’s emotional health and wellbeing at the very heart of all that we do. Our inspirational team of teachers and teaching assistants take time to get to know every child to ensure that they are happy in school, first and foremost.

I am proud of our school. We give children the best start in their education.
Upon leaving our school 15-20% of our children are performing above age related expectations. 10% of our year 6 cohort have secured a place at grammar school; and around 3 in each cohort go on to Pates Grammar for their secondary schooling.
We have high aspirations for all our children. But we recognise that every child's needs are different. No two learners are the same.
Our full time non teaching SENDCo has worked hard with our teachers to develop an inclusive curriculum which meets the needs of every learner we encounter.
We ensure no child is left behind. Meaningful adaptations and well timed, precise interventions ensure that every child keeps up and is not catching up.
Behaviour in our school is exceptional. Pupils care about one another and show respect for everyone.
Attitudes to school are excellent too. Children are proud to be part of BCPA and want to be here to learn and immerse themselves in the full school experience. As a result attendance is good and in some cases above the national average.
BCPA is a place where we focus on developing the whole child. Our school values are the basis of this work - respect, responsibility, resilience and reach.
We have opportunity for school council representation in every year group and year 6 children are given responsibility as tour guides and house captains; all designed to develop character in your young people.
Children in year 4 and 6 get the chance to go on residential and experience activities they would not ordinarily get to do.
By the end of year 6 it is our mission for every child in the school to have represented BCPA in some event, festival, tournament or other experience - if they want to. This gives the children a sense of belonging and pride.
If you would like to look around our wonderful school and see our newly improved learning environment and wonderful curriculum offer, please contact the school office either on
