We were invited to join other local primary schools at Cleeve School for a Tag Rugby Festival. All of the children from BCPA represented the school beautifully and played their best and one of our teams even emerged as champions! Well done to everyone who took part in the event
Once again we opened our doors to parents and friends to show off some of the amazing art work that the children have been doing this year.
Class 5O had a lot of fun playing roller football. They were only allowed to use their feet and heads to score a goal - no hands allowed. There was some great teamwork on show.
The Reception children have been enjoying learning outdoors in Forest School
Class 1R received a golden envelope containing an invitation to the Best School of the Year awards - the children spent time thinking about why BCPA should win and making posters to explain this.
Some children from Year 5 & 6 took part in an indoor athletics competition at Cheltenham Ladies College
The children have been using a Newton meter to see which surfaces have the greatest friction - then they presented their findings in a bar graph.
The children have been investigating things that float and things that sink - they even tried a pear from their fruit bowl!

The children have been designing and making space-themed board games that were exciting, educational and colourful.
Class 3C have been celebrating Healthy Living week by taking part in a variety of fitness games including cross-country, Zumba dance and parachute games. They also dressed up as Healthy Living Super Heroes!
The children all enjoyed coming in to school on their bikes and scooters for Wheelie Wednnesday!
The children from 2G and 5O have been reading together, sharing ideas about the books they were reading.
The children have been practising their teamwork skills using Lego - one team member read the instructions, a second member listened and found the pieces and the third team member had to build the piece.
Y1 have been sampling some new and unusual fruits - kiwi, water melon, lychees, plums and pomegranate.
As part of their topic, the children have been making space-themed board games as homework
The celebrate the end of our topic, we held a fairytale Wow Day. The children dressed as their favourite fairytale characters and had a lot of fun making crowns and tiaras, decorating gingerbread figures and playing games
5O have been enjoying time in Forest School, painting trees, playing the glockenspiel and having conker races!
Mr Peake, Head of Computer Science at Cleeve School, spent a morning with class 4J teaching the children how to program Spheros to make them move around and light up! What a fantastic morning of learning!

Y3 children have been learning how to sew in order to make creatures to decorate the gardens around school.

4J have spent some time studying and sketching a selection of animal skulls and teeth that were on loan to us from The Wilson Museum in Cheltenham. It was a very interesting afternoon.
