Gloucestershire Learning Alliance
Bishop's Cleeve Primary Academy (BCPA) is part of a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) with three other schools in Cheltenham, one in Gloucester and one in Badsey in Worcestershire and this is called the Gloucestershire Learning Alliance (GLA).
The schools within the GLA bring a fresh approach to partnership working, all with unique characteristics but sharing a vision and ethos. The key driver for formalising the existing partnerships between the three schools is centred on ensuring our children receive the best quality education through Quality First teaching.
We each strive for this in our own settings and through assessment-led teaching, recognise the shared capacity of expertise across the three schools. This significantly impacts on the outcomes we are able to achieve.
We embrace challenge and change, and all share ambition for our schools to have outstanding teaching.
The GLA has used its dedicated and innovative staff to:
- Forge a number of useful links with other schools
- Support schools with specific needs to enable improvement
- Create collaborative networks to promote excellence and innovation
Odyssey Teaching School Alliance
In 2013, Pate's Grammar School was designated as a Teaching School. At this point, Pate's Grammar School, The University of Gloucestershire, Adfecto (a training provider) and the Gloucestershire Local Authority joined to form the Odyssey Teaching School Alliance.
In 2014, the GLA became part of the Odyssey Teaching School Alliance which is based at Pate's Grammar School. In 2015, All Saints Academy became part of the Alliance.
Managed and administered by Pate's, the Alliance currently works with a range of schools providing both support and opportunities for collaboration which utilise our best leaders and teachers.
Bishop's Cleeve Primary Academy is a forward thinking, innovative school that puts the development and progress of your children at the heart of what it does. We believe that the systems and processes we use, not only ensure exceptional outcomes for our children, but can help to make a difference in the education of children in the schools we support.
